The Pixel Campfire (formerly Pixel Classics) is a single-player Android collection of retro-arcade tribute games developed by Evgenii Lisovskii (the "Developer"). This document explains exactly what information the app handles. The short version: nothing leaves your device.
To make the games playable, the app saves the following on your device only, using Android's standard DataStore Preferences API:
gameKey.This data never leaves the device. It is deleted automatically when you uninstall The Pixel Campfire. There is no cloud sync.
The Pixel Campfire does not request the INTERNET permission. It cannot make network connections.
As of version 7.3.0, the app declares no runtime-sensitive permissions in its manifest beyond the implicit ones the Android framework grants every app (vibrate for haptic feedback, audio output, default storage scoped to the app's own data directory).
One game in the collection — F-21 Ferret, a flight simulator — offers tilt steering and for that reads the device's motion sensors (gyroscope / rotation vector) while that game is open. Motion-sensor readings are processed in memory only to steer the plane: they are never stored, never logged, and never transmitted anywhere. Sensor reading stops as soon as you leave the game. On devices without these sensors the game falls back to on-screen controls. Android does not require any permission for these sensors.
The Pixel Campfire is suitable for all ages. Because no data is collected, it is automatically compliant with COPPA, GDPR-K and analogous regulations protecting children's privacy.
Each game in The Pixel Campfire is an original re-implementation inspired by, but not a clone of, a classic arcade or console title from the 1970s–1990s. All third-party trademarks, names and franchises referenced in the in-game "campfire" history vignettes belong to their respective owners; the Developer claims no affiliation with or endorsement by them. If you are a rights-holder with a concern, write to elyssov@gmail.com and the matter will be resolved promptly.
If a future version of The Pixel Campfire ever introduces analytics, ads, online features or any other data-collection mechanism, this policy will be updated to disclose precisely what is collected and why, and an in-app notice will be shown before any such data leaves your device.
